FinX answer
Yes, but it pushes your down-payment goal back by 3 weeks. Emergency fund unchanged. Retirement track unchanged.

What it does

Your whole financial picture, in one app.

01

Net worth, real-time

Stocks, property, KiwiSaver, savings and debt on one screen — with a live net-worth trend and an A–F financial-health grade.

02

Goals you can plan against

Set the future you want. FinX projects how today's spending changes when you'll get there. No spreadsheets, no four different apps.

03

Spot the leaks

Duplicate plans, forgotten trials, overlapping subscriptions in your tracked spending. FinX flags them so nothing slips through.

04
?

"Can I afford this?"

Plan a purchase and see exactly what it does to your goals — six months, two years, ten years out. The Sunday-morning question, finally answered.

05

Plain-English insights

Don't understand what the charts are telling you? Powered by Claude, FinX explains it in a sentence — tuned for clarity, not engagement.

06

Private by design

FinX never asks for your bank logins — you add what you track. Encrypted in transit, two-factor auth, and we never sell your data.

The Sunday-morning question

Common questions

Answered, plainly.

Is my financial data safe?
All traffic uses TLS 1.2+. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and your data is stored in Neon Postgres with encryption at rest. FinX never asks for your bank logins, never sells your data, and supports two-factor authentication — our only revenue is your subscription.
Does FinX connect to my bank or broker?
Not yet. You add your accounts, holdings and expenses yourself, and FinX brings them together with real-time market data and AI insights — which also means we never hold your bank credentials. Direct connections are on the roadmap.
What do the AI insights actually do?
Powered by Anthropic's Claude, they explain your charts and trends in plain English, project your goals from your real data, and answer questions like "can I afford this?". AI is opt-in, runs on your data only, and never trains any model on your numbers.
How is FinX different from Mint, Copilot, Monarch, Rocket Money, Sharesight?
FinX replaces the lot. Copilot is good for tracking, Monarch for budgeting, Rocket Money for subscriptions, Sharesight for portfolios — FinX does all of it in one place, and gives you the whole-picture view none of them can on their own.
Does the tax calculator replace my accountant?
No. It helps you understand your NZ tax position — capital gains, the bright-line test, and the like — and plan ahead. For decisions, talk to a licensed adviser or your accountant.
How do I use FinX — is there an app?
FinX is a web app that installs to your phone's home screen on iOS and Android — no app store needed — and also runs on desktop. It's launching soon; add your email and we'll let you know the moment it's live.
